Consuelo was born in January 11 1951 in Camagüey, Cuba.

All along her carreer, she has sing with great Cuban artists such as  Omara Portuondo ( Buena Vista Social Club), Albita Rodriguez, Celina Gonzales, Ramos Veloz, Coralia Fernandez, El Jilguero
de Cienfuegos, Los Montunos, Los Sonoros.

In Cuba, she also participated  in Tour  with Silvio Rodrigez, Pablo Milanes et Liuba Maria Hevia. She has regularly been joining La Sonora Cubana since 2004.
